Hot Wheels
When I was young Hot Wheels were a big thing. I remember my brother and cousin playing with them all the time. Now I had the chance to make a cake and cupcakes for a little 2 year old's party.
His mom added some cars to the cake before the party.
Chocolate Peanut Butter, Rocky Road, and Snickers cupcakes.
I got these awesome toppers here.

Owl Cake & Cupcakes
I was asked to make this adorable cake for a 1st birthday party this weekend. I was given a picture and asked to replicate it. I covered the cake in frosting instead of fondant but used fondant for the deocarations. It took a lot of time to do all the little details but I think it was worth it.

Baseball & Football
I got to make some cake pops and cakes for two cute little brothers a couple of weeks ago. I even got a picture of the 1 year old digging into his baseball cake, it was so cute!

Autumn Birthday Cake
I made a cake a few dozen cupcakes for a birthday the other day. I really wanted to make chocolate leaves but they didn't turn out. I ended up making fondant leaves but I'm looking forward to trying the chocolate leaves again.

Spooktacular Birthday Cake
I was asked to make a birthday cake for a 10 year old girl who had very specific instructions - vanilla & chocolate marble cake with orange frosting, black trim, ghosts and pumpkins. I thought it would be fun to make it 3-D and add black and silver stars. The ghosts are so cute!

Cakes
I did not make this cake - my brother did! Didn't he do a great job? He always makes the birthday cakes for his daughters. This was for Kayleigh's 2nd birthday, she loves Elmo!
I did make the rest of these cakes.
This is a lemon chiffon cake with whipped cream and blueberries for my dad's 60th birthday.
One of my favorite desserts - angel food cake with berries.
I made this a few years ago for my friend's birthday.
I think it was an orange mango cake.
I can't remember when I made this!! Maybe for Christmas morning at our church potluck.
I'm pretty sure it's an orange cinnamon cake with icing and cranberries.
I think red velvet cake is beautiful! This was for New Year's Eve while I was still in Japan.
My friends were amazed at the color!
This cake is definitely filled with Japanese flavors but I had to include it because it's so interesting.
It may not look appealing but it tastes great! It's a sakura (cherry blossom) chiffon cake with sweet beans and it was topped with whipped cream.
Cherry blossoms and leaves. The leaves have a lot of flavor.
Sweet beans.
