Fire Helmet Cake Pops
Hmmm...what to say about these cake pops. These were for my cousin's son's 3rd birthday. He's into fire trucks, which I didn't think I could make, but I thought I could make a fire helmet. I thought I could. I had a great picture in my mind. They started out looking good but then fell apart so I tried again, and again, and this is what they became. I wasn't very happy with them, in fact I thought they looked like a duck or like that character from the Fat Albert cartoon that wears a hat over his eyes (see picture below), but he's only 3 and I'm sure he'll eat them!
These look much better!
Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes
These 250 mini cupcakes were for a farewell open house last weekend. I made turtle (of course - everyone loves chocolate!), red velvet, vanilla, and a new recipe - lemon blueberry.
I love the pink liners!
Lemon blueberry were scrumptious!
Corn Cobs & Yarn
My friend, Kris, asked me to make cake pops for her parents's 50th anniversary party. He's a farmer and she's a crafter so I made cake pops to look like corn on the cob, balls of yarn, and tomato pin cushions. I heard they were a big hit!

S'more Cupcakes Please!
I've seen several recipes for s'more cupcakes and thought they would be fun to make. I had to make a couple of chocolate cakes today so I used some of that batter and made two experimental cupcakes. Both cakes are chocolate cake with a marshmallow inside and topped with crumbled grahm crackers. I tried two different toppings. One is toasted marshmallows with a pieces of Hershey's chocolate and a grahm cracker. The other is a marshmallow buttercream frosting (which melted when I tried to toast it - wasn't thinking on that one!), a piece of chocolate and grahm cracker. So fun!

Turtle Cupcakes Revised
As I wrote in my last post, I haven't been baking lately because of my foot surgery. I'm still not doing much but I had a call for 2 dozen mini cupcakes so I thought I'd try my best. I've had a lot of requests for turtle cupcakes and I think I finally made the best one! I added more caramel to the frosting and instead of drizzling just caramel on top I also drizzled chocolate. These were delicious! I'm not even a big chocolate eater, but these were good!
These are also wonderful! Vanilla with raspberry frosting and a blackberry on top.
