Taking a break

Last week I had foot surgery and have been spending all my time sitting with my foot elevated and iced. Needless to say, I haven't been doing any baking. I do have some fun things coming up though so check back in a few weeks!

Red, White, & Blue Cookies

I had some leftover cookie dough from a dessert I made last week so I wanted to make some fun cookies for the 4th of July.

4th of July Cupcakes

I was asked to make 3 dozen cupcakes for the 4th of July weekend.  I wanted to add a little holiday flare to the different flavors, especially these red velvet cupcakes.  Instead of regular white cream cheese frosting I swirled it with red, white, and blue and added a little pinwheel.   Very patriotic!!
